Bird Building & Landscaping is a Colchester-based small builder and landscape contractor. We're small on purpose.
I run the business with a tight crew - usually three of us, sometimes four when there's a bigger build on. We keep the number of jobs running deliberately low so each one gets proper attention.
Why one team for the whole job matters
The extension footings need to sit at the right depth for the patio that's going against them. The patio needs to finish neatly where the lawn starts. The fence line needs to land exactly where the new planting bed wants it. Co-ordinating that across three different trades almost always slips a job - someone says it's not their problem, dates get missed, and what should be a single twelve-week programme becomes nine months of phone calls.
When the building, the paving and the landscaping all sit under one quote and one project manager, the seams disappear. That's the entire point of what we do.
